We found ourselves back at the beach. This time at world famous Cocoa Beach. Home of a quaint little pizza shop with a quaint little name, Little Z's. Small place and small name, but not a small pizza. They are home of the 24 inch slice, that is packed full of a big flavor.
The exterior signage is not great, but they are going to be changing that soon. They are planning on exterior changes as well as a few changes to the interior to enhance your experience while you are there. The dining area is very small, this is more of a walk in and grab slice and a soda kind of place, but if you get the chance to stop in and spend some time, you won't regret it.
It is very clean inside, and quite intimate. Due to it's small dining area, you are right on top of where the pizzas are made, so you can see them put together your pie as you wait. The staff is friendly and more than willing to have a conversation with you while you are there.
We were caught off guard with how fast this pizza came out, and it was cooked to perfection. The pie itself was beautiful representation of what a pizza should look like, and the taste? Well the tasted was everything you want a pizza to be. I nice crispy and sponge crust, with a sauce that we don't even have words for. Cheese and pepperoni were distributed throughout the pizza the way it should be. A wonderful Italian spice flavor hits your mouth with the first bite. Once you have a chance to recover from that first bite, you are instantly in love.
New York style with an ultra thin crust. Thin pepperoni that packs a punch with favor that makes your mouth water. This pizza was made to be folded and eaten properly. Just look at that picture, isn't that a sight of pure beauty? We think so, after all, we don't really call ourselves "pizza reviewers", we call ourselves "pizza admirers". This is a pizza to be admired, but not for too long, because it is also meant to be eaten, and we couldn't wait to dig in. Watch the video below for our immediate reaction to this wonderful pizza.
If pizza is not your thing, (we have to ask the question as to why you are reading this if it isn't) then they have a beautiful full color menu with options galore. Subs, calzones, wings, and other items that look just as good as that pizza above.
Now, let's get down to the brass tax. With the cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and bathrooms. The friendliness of the staff, and the high level of flavor of the pizza, we give Little Z's nothing less than a 5. It is a truly magnificent pizza. You can walk off the beach, grab a slice in a couple of minutes and get back under the sun to get your tan on. If you're in Cocoa Beach do yourself a favor and go to Little Z's, and when you do, tell them that The Pepperoni Report sent you.
