Humpavelli's (Titusville)

Titusville was calling our name this time out. We took the drive north on US 1 to grab a pie at Humpavelli's. It was located in a tiny strip mall off the beaten path next to the area Target.  We ordered our customary large pepperoni pizza, in this case it was an 18" pizza, they offer a larger 24" pizza if you have bigger stomachs than ours. We also ordered 1 soda and one water, (the counter girl was nice and when asked for a bigger water cup she readily handed me one.).  The price was a reasonable $16 and change.

As we waited for our pizza we both had the opportunity to use the bathroom, which was nice, clean and had a lemony scent.  It was a good old fashion pizzeria style set up. Walk up counter to order, with a wide open dining area, with self serve drinks. The seating was sparse and only along the walls, so there was that wide open area from the door to the counter for all the carry outs that we assume that is the majority of their business.

The service was friendly and prompt. We only had interaction with the cashier and a gentleman that brought our pizza to us, but both were friendly and courteous. We didn't have a long wait for our pie, it was well within 15 minutes, and it came out piping hot and ready to eat. Tables were small, so our pizza was brought with a tray to set it on. The settings were plastic silverware and paper plates. Just a little more of that old school pizzeria flavor. For the ambience, you had classic rock on the speakers and a giant mural on one wall, that oddly had the previous name of the establishment on it.

The pizza was hot and tasty. The cheese was the standout rock star of this pizza. It had a fantastic flavor that made us wish that we had gone for extra cheese, but rules are rules, and we have to stick by ours. It was heavy on he sauce which had a spicy kick to it. The sauce had a tendency to overpower the pepperoni, which just simply got lost in the pizza. The crust was a bit chewy on the front end, but then became light and crispy at the crust.

In final analysis, If we lived near Humpavelli's pizza, we would eat here again and again.  If we were in the area and wanted pizza, we would have no hesitation about going back there for a slice. If you want more information on Humpavelli's just follow this link.

Before we go, as always, we provide you with a video of our first hand reactions, so give it a view. It's also got some quick footage of the pizza.

One last thought. If we would have just gotten a cheese pizza, we would rate this pie a bit higher. We hope you enjoyed this little blog of ours. Same as the video, if you have a place you would like us to go, leave a comment below. Love and pizza slices.

  1. Thanks for the review "Two Guys". I don't get to Titusville very often, but the next time that I do, I'm going to give Humpavelli's a try!
