A NY Pizza House

World Famous Cocoa Beach. Home to I Dream of Jeannie, Kelly Slater and Ron Jon's. Also world famous A1A runs thru the heart of Cocoa Beach located on that famous road is A NY Pizza House.   A local pizzeria with a nice following of loyal customers.

So on a beautiful Sunday afternoon the Two Guys made the trip to try their pizza.

One 18" pie.  They offered smaller and larger.  18 inches was the perfect size for us.  We got the pizza straight out of the oven.  Super Hot and looking very delicious.

From the first bite to the last this pizza delivered an excellent flavor.  Combining a combination of robust and flavorful sauce with Meaty tasting pepperoni.  Topped with a cheese that had a smoothness that blended well with the whole pie. Along with the soft yet crunchy crust this was a winning combination of ingredients coming to together to create a very light eating pie.  One that the Guys thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a Five Dancing Pepperoni pizza.

Thank you A NY Pizza House.

Pozzy Brothers (Viera)

The Guys love go back to places they have been before as seen in prior seasons.  Pozzy Brothers new location in Viera (in the spot where Vincinos used to be) is where the first return visit of season 3 took place.

Guy's take on Pozzy Brothers Viera.

With our new focus being on eating the pie in a parking lot, we called ahead for pick up.  Once we arrived at the location I walked in and was greeted by a friendly and accommodating staff. The pie was piping hot and ready to go.

Took it back to the car for the usual pre eating photoshoot and filming.   Other Guy drove us to a local park where once we got there proceeded to eat out pie.

Other Guy went straight at it.  Tip first while I sampled around it.  Trying cheese, pepperoni and looking for the sauce.  The cheese was a nice, had a nice pull and stretch with a good taste.  Definitely made the pizza.  The pepperoni was a nice mild flavor.  Nothing to spicy or to drab.  Also nothing notable.   The sauce was No Show No Call.  When Other guy is left looking for sauce there is a problem.  Once I did try the sauce I noticed a slightly sweet taste that was pretty good.  The crust was acceptable but got chewy as it cooled.

This is a solid pie.  One that we did enjoy and think others will as well.  More sauce or spread a little more even would have helped.

As far as overall.   We did enjoy this pie.  It's a solid 4 Dancing Pepperoni.  If you live in the Viera area please give them a try and let us know how many dancing Pepperoni you would give them.

Viera Pizza (Viera)

Good Pizza Yum.  End of story. So lets talk about the beginning of the story.

The two guys in a car pull into a gas station. Why we didnt need gas. What we did need was pizza.  A Large Pepperoni Pizza, one we called ahead to order.  So guy went in and picked up the pizza.
Which was a beautiful pie.  Smelled good, looked amazing and was piping hot.

Side note. Season 3 will be a little different than past seasons.  We will be eating take out. In a car. In a Park ing Lot.

Back to the Pizza.  Why else would you be reading this.  You want to know about the pizza.  Pizza Good. Yum.  Lol. Seriously, it was delicious. Crazy part is the main ingredients were all good but not spectacular. They blended together to create and amazing pizza. The pepperoni was tasty..a nice meaty taste a mild kick. Cheese was solid.  The sauce what little of it their was.  (According to Guy). The crust was a nice crunchy outside and fluffy inside that held that texture and taste even as it cooled.  Individually they were all good..together Amazing.  Took one bite where all the ingredients blended perfectly...what a delicious bite.   If your in Viera absolutely recommend this 5 Dancing Pepperoni pie.

Thank You Viera Pizza

Lombardi's (Melbourne)

 Thats A Chewy Pizza.

Nestled in a shopping plaza in the Suntree area of Brevard County is a New York style pizzeria, Lombardis New York Pizza and Restaurant.  The focus of the Guys search for a pie.  After placing the order ahead of time Guy goes inside and picks up the pie.

Guy here. Walked in an was quickly greeted by a friendly smiling server.  Even though she busy with other guests, she made sure i was being served.  The few minutes i waited to get the pie i was able to observe an extremely clean kitchen.  The pie I received was piping hot and looked great.

Soon thereafter The Guys found a local park to enjoy this good looking pie.

Guy's break down of the pie goes like this. The pepperoni on first taste was ok..then a spicy kick. Cheese was good.  Star of this pie was the very tasty sweet sauce. Believe it or not there was plenty of sauce on this pie. Crazy part was the crust.  The edge was ok with a nice crunch but the dough under the cheese, sauce and pepperoni was very chewy.  Lots of chewing. Other than a lot of chewing this was good pie with plenty of tasty sauce. Its a solid 4 dancing pepperoni pie that i would eat again.

Puzino's (South Patrick)

Question, is it a gas station pizza if the pizzeria is not in the gas station but the building houses both a gas station and a pizzeria?

This is the question we asked ourselves as we pulled into Puzino's Pizza in Satellite Beach.

We didn't puzzle other this delimna very long once we got a look as this beautiful pie.  The large pepperoni pizza is a joy to behold. Plenty of cheese and pepperoni.

We quickly found a nice parking lot in which to consume our pretty pie. Other guy went from the tip of the triangle while Guy went from the crust.

Guy here..  The crust had a slight crunch, with a little doughy taste..and slightly chewy. It was a decent crust..nothing special or unspecial.  So I switched to the tip.. my first impression was the cheese was silky smooth...in a different way. Not bad..just not expected.  At that point I tried the unremarkable pepperoni. Not bad..just average.  Then I looked for and found a splash of the mild sauce. Again average. Crazy thing is the pie was not the usual average pie.  The cheese created a desire to eat another slice then another. Its a different pie in a good way.

My take on the cheese after much thought was it tasted like a Sergento shredded mozzarella.  It had that creamy smooth taste.

All together these ingredients create a 3 Dancing Pepperoni pizza.  One I recommend trying.

Guiseppe's Steel City Pizza (Port Orange)

It was suggested to try Guiseppe's Steel City Pizza several years ago when we first started this pizza adventure.  Finding the opportunity to travel an hour one way just to try a pizza was not high on the priority list of pizza places to try.  If we had known then what we know now....well this is what we know now.

Placing a phone call for a pick up we are directed to a window on the north side of Guiseppe's magnificent building.  We took the opportunity to drive around the outside and we were quite impressed with the size of the building. Including a Statue outside of a guy holding a pizza.   Picking up the pizza a pleasant aroma was smelled thru the air.  It was the pizza.  The scent of a pie.  Smelled like a pizza you would get at a corner pizzeria in Pittsburgh. I felt at home.

Visually this was an impressive pie.  Looked tasty..a saucy appearance along with plenty of cheese and pepperoni.  So far everything passed the eye test. Now the big moment.  The  Tasting..

And it didn't disappoint. Wow. This was a delicious pie.  The crust had a nice crunch along with a soft center.  The cheese was Roma cheese I think..well that little three legged table they put in the center of the pie said Roma on it.  Roma cheese is an excellent pizza cheese.  Sauce..lots of it and very delightful sauce.  Its always good when the Pepperoni had a meaty flavor to it and this pepperoni did.

All  those combined made a 5 Dancing Pepperoni pizza.  Strongly recommend giving them a try.

Side note.  The interior is decorated with Pittsburgh sports Momentos.   Been told they have a wall of fame where the pizza eating challenge winners get their picture immortalized. The person who suggested Guiseppe's is on the wall.  Thanks We enjoyed it

To Guiseppes Steel City Pizza. Thank you.

Down The Shore

True story, I called this latest place the wrong name nearly the whole review. From the announcement of a live event all the way thru the ending. So why stop now, just kidding. Straight Outta Philly in Rockledge has expanded and it has been my pleasure to do a review on their newest location, Straight Outta Philly Down The Shore. Except this time I brought a panel of reviewers.

We had two pies, one our standard Pepperoni (Oxford Avenue) and a Ham and Mushroom. As we waited for our pizzas, I took in the new location. It has several tables for outdoor dining, complete with a tiki feel. The inside has booths and a couple of tables. There are sports figures and scenes either hanging in frames or painted on the walls. Including a Rocky Balboa mural. And one of Rocky facing off against Thunderlips.

The pizzas soon arrived nice and hot. Beautiful looking pizzas. Once again the crust was outstanding. They have a nice crisp crust with a soft interior. One of the reviewers said that it tasted like a garlic crust.  Of course the Pepperoni was its usual delicious spicy self. The others in our party said that the mushrooms were very tasty, along with the delicious ham that they use made the Ham and Mushroom pizza a hit at our table. Nothing like a family recipe sauce to add the right flavor to both of the pies. Cover it with their secret ingredient cheese blend, (ok, a little cheddar isn't a secret anymore), and two 5 Dancing Pepperonis pies made us have a great lunch experience.

Our party had a great experience. The staff and Owners of Straight Outta Philly have excellent food. Whether it's the Rockledge location or the new location that we reviewed today, Down The Shore on Eau Gallie Blvd, go check them out, tell them The Pepperoni Report sent you.
