Baci (Rockledge)

     This week we went to our local neighborhood pizza place, Baci Pizza & Bar. It's a one stop party shop. Pizzeria, bar, and liquor store. You can grab a pizza to go, bring the family in for a pie and a good time, or just hang out with friends for a few cocktails and a pizza. 

     Baci opened in December of 2008, and has been going strong ever since. This is the pizza place that we have frequented most often, and it's not because it is only 5 minutes from our houses. The pizza is one of the best on the Space Coast, with plenty of specialty options or build your own. Since this is a place that we have been to before, the rules were off, but we still opted to have pizzas that we have never tried before. Guy got the Baci Meat Supreme, and Other Guy got the Spicy Italian.

   
     The Baci Meat Supreme, is like the Arby's slogan; It has all the meats. Loaded with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and meatballs. The meat dominates the flavor profile, and that isn't a bad thing. Even though it is rich with meaty flavor, it goes down light.

     The Spicy Italian is the perfect blend of toppings, cheese, sauce, and crust. No flavor is left out with this one. Topped with pepperoni, salami, capicola, and banana peppers. The natural spiciness of the meat, compliments the old style Italian sauce. The zingy tang of the banana peppers, brings the flavor pallet together. 

     Both of these pies are off the chart good. One of the few pizzas that when it cools down, doesn't get chewy in the crust. There is something special about the dough at Baci. Based on past experience, it reheats well, and might even be better, with the flavors marinating together over night. It brings a little extra party to your taste buds.

     The audio was a little problematic in the second half, so if you couldn't make out what we were saying, we can boil it down to this. Baci is great. It is one of the cleanest places you can go to, and the staff is always friendly. If you are a regular, and it only takes a couple of visits before you are, it's that place like Cheer's. Everybody knows your name. If we had to describe the interior of Baci, it would be exactly what an Irish pub would look like, if it were in Italy, and it was run by an Italian family.

     Time for our rating of Baci. For cleanliness, it gets a 5, not just for the interior, but also because even the roof is clean. If you didn't watch the video above, you won't see the proof of how we know that. Our service was excellent, but we wouldn't expect anything else. Guy's drink was refilled even before he knew it was in need of a refill. Service gets a 5. Last but not by any means least, is pizza. The proof is in the flavor, and Baci's pizza is full of flavor. It's hot and tasty with a sauce that your Italian grandmother would be proud of, and it comes out fast, so for pizza, we can't help but give it a 5. That leaves Baci with the overall rating of 5.
